Lower Leg, Foot and Ankle procedures in Bethesda, MD

Every lower leg, foot and ankle procedure we offer, grouped by the condition it treats. All are done in the office under ultrasound guidance.

Every plan starts with an exam and diagnostic ultrasound at your first visit, so the procedure matches what is actually causing your pain.

Questions about lower leg, foot and ankle procedures

Why won't you give a cortisone shot for Achilles pain?
Steroid placed in or around the Achilles tendon can weaken it and raise the risk of a rupture. We treat Achilles pain with loading programs, shockwave, PRP, or percutaneous tenotomy (Tenex) instead.
What can I do for plantar fasciitis that has lasted for months?
Most heel pain improves with footwear changes, stretching, and strengthening. When it lingers, shockwave, a guided cortisone injection, PRP, or percutaneous tenotomy (Tenex) are office options.
How soon can I walk after a foot or ankle procedure?
Most people walk out of the office. Depending on the procedure, you may use a boot or cut back on running for a few weeks, then return to activity through a guided rehab plan.
