Care for every kind of athlete

We see competitive athletes, weekend players, runners, lifters, and people who simply want to walk the dog without pain. The goal is the same for all of them: understand exactly what is injured and build the shortest safe path back to the activity that matters.

Common problems we treat

  • Tendon pain: rotator cuff, tennis and golfer's elbow, patellar, Achilles, gluteal
  • Arthritis of the shoulder, hip, knee, hand, and foot
  • Ligament sprains and partial tears
  • Nerve entrapment and nerve pain
  • Exertional leg pain, stress injuries, and overuse problems in young athletes

Our approach

Most sports injuries improve with the right rehab. When they do not, we add the least invasive option that can work: a guided injection, an orthobiologic, nerve modulation, or an office procedure. If surgery is the right answer, we say so and help arrange it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral to see a sports medicine physician?
Many insurance plans do not require one, but some do. Check with your plan, or call us and we will help you find out.
Is sports medicine only for athletes?
No. Sports medicine physicians treat musculoskeletal problems in anyone who wants to stay active, whether that means competing, exercising, working, or keeping up with family.
What is the difference between a sports medicine physician and an orthopedic surgeon?
Sports medicine physicians focus on non-surgical diagnosis and treatment. Orthopedic surgeons perform operations. We work closely with surgeons and refer when surgery is the better option.
